PT Tech a division of Timken is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to provide exceptional product support, training, and issue resolution. This individual will play a key role in overseeing the troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of hydraulic and electrical circuits, components, and systems for heavy construction, mining, and forestry equipment. Additionally, the Service Manager will be responsible for the strategic vision of PT Tech's remanufacturing processes, customer support, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management:
- Coordinate and manage a team of Service Technicians and Service Analysts.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
- Customer Support & Training:
- Train customers on the use and design of PT Tech products.
- Provide superior customer service through phone, email, and site visits, answering questions thoroughly and professionally.
- Inspection & Diagnosis:
- Perform inspections of parts, components, systems, and machines to identify operational discrepancies.
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting of hydraulic and electrical circuits and diagnose the root cause of failure.
- Corrective Actions & Repairs:
- Determine and implement corrective actions based on failed part inspections.
- Order necessary replacement parts and services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Perform repairs or part replacements to restore optimal function within established task parameters.
- Ensure repairs maintain or improve machine performance and appearance.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Complete necessary documentation for repairs, inspections, and parts orders in a timely and organized manner.
- Follow up on completed tasks to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Strategic Vision & Growth:
- Oversee the strategic direction of PT Tech’s remanufacturing processes, with a focus on customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
- Technical Expertise:
- Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and conduct HYDAC diagnostics.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with 12v and 24v electrical circuits.
- Troubleshoot and upgrade software and firmware on PT Tech products.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor Engineering/Sales
- Mechanical Systems repair and service
- 5-7 years Sales/Engineering Management
- 7-10 years Engineering
