Position Overview:
We are seeking a Controls Embedded Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for a hands-on, solutions-driven professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working on next-generation embedded control systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain embedded software in C for microprocessor-based control devices
  • Collaborate closely with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Understand and integrate mechanical and hydraulic systems into electronic control architectures
  • Innovate and design new controller functionality for both existing and future “smart” products
  • Interface directly with customers to provide technical engineering support and troubleshooting expertise
  • Participate in R&D field testing and customer site visits to validate product performance
  • Travel internationally as needed (approximately once per month or less)
  • Create and execute test plans in conjunction with the Testing Department
  • Support documentation efforts by contributing to Installation & Maintenance Bulletins and Design Manuals
  • Optional but beneficial: Programming with Visual C#.NET and LabVIEW

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience across the complete embedded software development life cycle
  • Strong proficiency in C and C++
  • Experience in embedded firmware development and ongoing maintenance
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and project management skills
  • Familiarity with Altium Designer for PCB layout and electronic design
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and function effectively in a team-oriented environment
