The Quality Supervisor oversees the inspection team at the Traverse City faciilty, a high product mix environment including machining and assembly operations.


Reponsibilities:

  • Daily supervision of the quality inspectors for receiving, in-process and final inspection. Monitors and schedules work flow through inspection.  
  • Ensures Inspection staff is satisfactorly trained to perform their tasks.
  • Creates inspection report templates, ensurse the Inspection staff completes them and approves reports for submission to the customer.
  • Creates Certificate of Conformances for products shipped.
  • Leads the Non-Conforming Material Process for the Traverse City facility and ensures held material is moved through the appropriate steps for rework, vendor rejection or scrap.
  • Creates deviation requests for submission and approval to internal or external customers.


Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent; associates degree or trade school preferred with a focus in manufacturing technology or machining 
  • 5-7 years' experience in manufacturing environment with previous leadership expsosure
  • CMM and Surface Metrology Equipment operating experience 
  • Ability to read blueprints with basic knowledge of GD&T
  • Basic proficiency in Excel & Word; AS400 (preferred but not required)
  • Good communication & organization skills
     

This position may require access to United States export controlled technical data (“CTD”) and hardware under the Departments of US State (ITAR) and/or Commerce (EAR).  Eligible candidates are; US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees or others eligible to receive US export license authorizations. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
