Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic, servicing and repairing a wide variety of machining equipment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical/electrical issues on CNC/NC/Manual machining equipment (lathes, boring mills, grinders, slotters, hobbers, shapers, etc,), welding equipment, and industrial furnaces
  • Equipment installation and levelling of existing equipment
  • Repair of hydraulic pumps, motors, conveyors, clutches
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Maintain building facilities and grounds
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineered drawings
  • Operate travelling overhead crane up to 50 tonnes
  • Assure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures
  • Assist with continuous improvement projects under the direction of the team leader.



Our ideal candidate has over 8 years of experience and possesses the following education and competencies.



  • Journeyman Millwright / Mechanic



  • Machine maintenance capabilities on large variety of equipment
  • Experience in a custom industrial environment with large machines
  • Familiarity with CNC/NC/Manual lathes, boring mills, grinders, slotters, hobbers, shapers, welding equipment, and industrial furnaces
  • Building facilities experience including HVAC
  • Previous experience troubleshooting hydraulics/pneumatics
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to operate a crane with proper rigging techniques
  • Attention to detail with commitment to providing outstanding service
  • Reliable track record at previous employment
  • Willing to work overtime as required including some weekends
