This position serves as Human Resource generalist who applies, develops and implements human resources tactics & strategies that will contribute to business objective achievements for the Timken European service center (Strasbourg 125 associates).


The Human Resources manager leads the ESC HR department. This role includes (but is not limited to) associate / Talent development, labor relations, health and safety management, payroll administration, training, personnel administration, performance management, compensation & benefits plans, communication, disciplinary actions, reorganization plans. The HR manager implements locally global HR and business projects, provides advices to senior leaders. This role contributes to business actions that will enhance over-all business performances and ensure high level of legal compliance and business integrity. The HR manager provides leadership in managing business improvement, organizational changes and change management activities.


Essential responsabilities


  • Drive effective performance culture through applied tactics i.e. address performance deficiencies, absenteeism and propose innovative solutions to achieve site Business plan objectives.
  • Ensure effective associate relations, develop positive communication with the entire workforce including associate representatives, negotiate favorable site agreement, implement locally collective agreements in line with Company's direction. Apply rigorously labor laws as well as local and corporate policies / guidelines.
  • Create and maintain an exceptional standard of business ethics and corporate social responsibility, ensure compliance with all current and future legislation, provide solutions in term of staffing (talent), career management, associate development and any other issues that will contribute to local business plan achievements.
  • Lead the Human Resource function at Timken ESC
  • Provide leadership and manage business improvement and change management activities towards lean organization
  • Identify skills required to meet future business needs, diagnose skill gaps, and develop long-term capability-building strategies training programs to address skill gaps.echn


Technical/Functional Skills

  • HR/Legal/Business Administration
  • Interpersonal skills and negotiation skills
  • Fluent English
  • Management Experience including as people manager
  • Experience in labor relations and labor laws
  • Front line managerial experience
  • Compensation and Benefits knowledge


Education : Master in labor law or HR

Previous job experience : 7 years of experience as generalist
