We design and manufacture high-quality parts for critical industries across the world including pulp and paper, mining, oil and gas, chemical processing plants, steel mills, marine applications, transportation, military, and aerospace.
Reporting to the TPS Canada National Sales Manager, the Sales Manager - Quebec understands our company value proposition and provides precision solutions to mining customers for open gearing, mining replacement parts and gear boxes. This position will specialize in providing custom design and equipment manufacturing and repair services to enhance our customers' business performance. The successful candidate must be bilingual in French and English and will have hands on technical expertise and full cycle industrial sales experience.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 10+ years technical/trade/professional experience in an industrial equipment manufacturing environment demonstrating the ability to meet deadlines and business goals.
- Proven mechanical aptitude to understand the complexity of the design and manufacture of power transmissions and gearing (high speed and low speed preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills (both English and French required).
- Ability to travel a minimum of 50% of time to cover assigned territory.
- Sales experience in a custom industrial rotating equipment position.
The Job:
- Generate sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner.
- Achieve repeat sales through strong customer satisfaction including understanding unique customer needs, consistent communication, and monitoring orders.
- Support existing customers and develop new relationships to expand customer base.
- Foster customer growth and diversification through knowledge and education.
- Seek out customer feedback, emphasizing company quality and value proposition.
- Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend and/or develop specific products and solutions.
- Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Planning departments to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Identify market trends and anticipate customer needs to provide superior service
- Develop sales and marketing strategic plan specific to the Quebec industrial region.
- Travel to customer sites, attend trade shows and conferences, and actively participate in business development activities.

- Academic, technical, and professional competence.
Education:
- Proven mechanical aptitude including formal education in one of the following fields:

- Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Degree,
- Mechanical or CAD/CAM Technologist Diploma
- Certified Trade as a Journeyman Machinist, Welder, or Industrial Mechanic.

- Previous experience with ERP systems, such as SAP and CRM software.
- Recognized sales training will be considered an asset, but training will be provided.
