Purpose and Scope
Responsible for calculating the payroll process, ensuring all steps of the process from pre-payroll to dispersion, ensuring that employee payroll is accurate, timely and aligned with the law.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on payroll and benefits.
- Computes the calculation of wages and salaries, deductions and benefits, taxes and other withholdings.
- Maintainer the payroll related salary, deduction, and benefit information in financial/employees management databases.
- Calculation of ordinary and extraordinary payroll process.
- Stay up to date on state and federal payroll and tax laws.
- Research and respond to payroll and benefit related inquiries.
- Send payroll related information to apply for payment.
- Design, document and implement procedures to streamline payroll processes.
- Manage payroll budget.
- Follow up to associate’s files. Ensure validity of benefits.
- Knowledge in Success Factors, Kronos, Celergo platform is a plus.
Technical/Functional Skills
- Expert in payroll process.
- Expert IMSS - ISR - Infonavit – ISN - Labor Federal Law.
- Settlement calculations.
- T&A Software management.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- The ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Advanced excel.
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Administration or related field (certified).
- Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Payroll Specialist in manufacturing industry.
