Purpose: The purpose of this position is to effectively manage Human Resources activities inclusive of Talent and Performance Management, Talent Acquisition/Recruiting, Total Rewards, including Compensation and Benefits, Associate and Labor Relations and Workplace Safety.



  • Lead the development and implementation of the HR strategy and ensure it is translated into a practical and prioritized HR tactics.
  • Provide ongoing advice and support to the Business Unit Managers on all aspects of HR, ensuring that HR solutions are provided in the most appropriate and cost effective way.
  • Work with functional managers to review and build management capability, ensuring development needs are captured and acted upon in order to produce high performing teams.
  • Responsible for Timken de Mexico headcount plan and contributes to labor cost budget development.
  • Manage the Talent Management Process, to ensure development of talent and address performance issues. Assist managers with Succession Planning for key positions.
  • Responsible for identifying talent’s need and development gap and provides training and development programs for employees.
  • Coach/mentor managers and supervisors on effective management, communication and employee engagement.
  • Responsible for Talent Acquisition activity (sourcing and recruiting) for all vacancies but also for future focused development of talent pipeline.
  • Develop and manage Associate and Labor Relations strategies to support business objectives and ensuring full compliance to legal regulations in Mexico and to internal Timken policies and procedures.
  • Comply with corporate Total Rewards strategy (compensation and benefits) and advise the corporate function on local practices and changes in labor market, in order to attract and retain the most highly talented associates.
  • Collaborate with corporate HR function to execute the function’s HR needs with maximum efficiency, leverage and alignment.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of HR or related experience required.
  • Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of HR or related experience preferred.
  • Strong English working knowledge is a must.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources policies and Mexico Labor Law.
  • Experience with HR Systems and organizational HR tools.
  • Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) software.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Strong Analytical Skills.
