Position Purpose:
This position coordinates the human Factor, Materials and Equipment under his charge to Optimize the Manufacturing Processes under his/her Charge. Assure that the Production Plan is fulfilled assuring that all products meet or exceed the quality standards of the company.
Provides the necessary leadership and direction to the Supervisors under his charge. (I.e. motivating, developing, managing, evaluating, etc.), optimizes day-to-day operations of the department, monitors and controls KPI under his charge (Safety, Quality, Scrap, Schedule Accomplishment, Productivity, Absenteeism, Quality and OEE). Ensures compliance with safety and environmental standards, develops training road maps for his direct reports and oversees equipment repairs, modifications, and upgrades. The supervisor's guidance and leadership of his/her subordinates directly supports the continuous improvement and success of daily manufacturing operations. Regular contact with Process Engineers, Production Control, Quality Engineers, Material Engineers and Lean Manufacturing Engineers.
Main Responsibilities:
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures, holding associates accountable to following safe work practices.
• Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
• Ensures that all products manufacture by his\her team follow approved process control plans and meet or exceed Timken Quality expectations.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Develop, track progress and complete production plan by scheduling, assigning the proper personnel: accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
• Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities.
• Responds to process and equipment failures in a timely manner applying lean problem-solving process to identify root cause of problems and implements countermeasures to ensure there is not a re occurrence.
• Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; rigorously enforcing work Standards settings processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points, initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
• Actively identifies and implements continuous improvements activities.
• Ensures operations of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• OEE revision weekly basis, creates action plans to mitigate DT.
• Enforces TMOS A3 and 5c Methodology in Operation center with Supervisors.
• Provides feedback on weekly basis using the 1:1 Methodology with supervisors.
• Plans and creates strategy to Increase plant productivity.
• Provide support and training on SAP to ensure all transactions are done in real time
Education / Experience
Required – Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, or related with 7+ years’ of experience.
