Territory Manager - (Pacific Northwest)

 

Location: Remote position covering Western Oregon and surrounding areas, with a preference for residing between Portland and Eugene.

 

Purpose: Utilize commercial and technical skills to understand customer needs and promote Timken products and services. Manage sales channels effectively, communicate value propositions, and build strong customer relationships.

 

Responsibilities:

  • To grow sales within territory and assigned customer accounts.
  • Develop efficient call plans to outperform competitors.
  • Deliver impactful presentations highlighting Timken's capabilities and value.
  • Collaborate with Customer Engineering on complex system analyses.
  • Utilize CRM for sales planning and opportunity management.
  • Provide market insights for demand planning.
  • Mentor junior associates and participate in joint sales calls.
  • Conduct technical and commercial training for internal and external audiences.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred, or Bachelor’s Degree in Business.
  • At least 4 years of customer relationship experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment and industrial processes preferred.
  • Alternatively, 10 years of relevant experience without a Bachelor's Degree. Position level determined by experience and education.
