Purpose & Scope

Timken’s Regional Marketing teams deploy the strategies developed by our Global Marketing and Sales team into their perspective regions. The group builds programs to support market initiatives and product launches. The team communicates with customers and Timken sales teams to get the voice of the customer input in order to more effectively engage the market. We also manage programs developed to support our distributor partners who help us reach fragmented customers and users in the market. The portfolio of Timken products is expanding while the

technology of how we and others do business is evolving.

 

The Principal Marketing Analyst is responsible for growth initiatives with a focus on managing large scale projects that will directly impact our ability to grow and better serve our customer base. 

 

Responsibilities

1. Manage projects to drive growth across strategic market, products and business units. 

2. Work cross-functionally to drive effectiveness and efficiency to grow with existing and new customers.  

3. Utilize fluency in various processes so that we can effectively launch new products more quickly and effectively across our OEM and distributor population.

4. Improve channel processes to ensure consistency and drive efficiency across business units. 

5. Create and deploy customer surveys, VOC, customer panels, etc.

6. Contribute analysis support and expertise to customer segmentation work looking within our customer, distributor and end user populations for trends or behaviors that can translate into insights.  Including supporting management of Leads opportunities.

 

Technical/Functional Skills:

 

Strong analytical skills and experience organizing data sets

Experience as a professional B2B associate

Experience working with distribution channel partners and OEMs

Experience in industries aligned with, or adjacent to, Timken’s markets

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or similar
  • 7+ years of experience in data management, analytics, supply chain, channel management, or similar
