The Challenge:

Timken is looking for Learning superstar who is committed to helping our organization achieve its goals through associate development. You will take learning from conception to launch through traditional and rapid instructional design models to drive meaningful impact through our global workforce.


What Needs to be Done:

  • Inspire associate and leadership engagement in learning
  • Use relevant instructional design and eLearning development models to drive activities through the full learning lifecycle (idea through implementation)
  • Become a process and subject matter expert for all things learning, such as our SuccessFactors Learning Management System, industry trends that align with our culture and priorities, and existing and future learning technologies that make sense for our needs (i.e., VILT, Articulate 360, simulations, AR, etc.)
  • Lead and support our 20-week leadership development program, providing sustainable solutions that continue growing leaders following program completion
  • Measure impact of learning to assess learning effectiveness; enable additional connections to our existing PowerBI analytics dashboards and equip us with the data needed to make informed decisions as a team
  • Partner with external vendors to support large project needs
  • Engage in organizations and communities that will provide value and benefit to advance our efforts
  • Support actions from enterprise listening efforts, enabling clear actions and development from results
  • Facilitate training and change leadership sessions across the global associate base
  • Participate in other projects as needed


The Basics:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of experience OR a Master’s Degree in Learning Design and Technology, Instructional Design, Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, or related area and 5 years of experience
  • Demonstrate agility and a focus on our shared goals
  • Demonstrate ability to interact with and influence associates and leaders of all levels
  • Enjoy supporting and improving a business, ensuring talent is enabled, included, performing, developing and ready for their next challenge
  • Preferred experience in SuccessFactors Learning module and other integrated learning and talent systems
  • Project Management experience
