Purpose:
We are looking for a financial Plant Controller to join our manufacturing site in Montgomery, IL. The Plant Controller ensures financial controls are in place, prepares financial reports, and supports plant leadership with data and analysis to meet plant and corporate goals. The role includes overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, standard costing, audits, payroll, and inventory reconciliation.

Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience with broad management accounting background, preferably with responsibilities over operational reporting in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of business processes: Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Production Orders, Sox Controls, and Standard Costing.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- CIMA/ ACCA/ CMA designations or certification as a Certified Public Accountant are a plus.
Core Responsibilities:
- Operations Reporting & Planning: Work with plant management to provide accurate performance reports, focusing on manufacturing costs. Lead business planning and forecasting efforts. Identify cost variances and support corrective actions.
- Standard Costing: Oversee annual updates to standard costs and ensure cost accuracy by working closely with the operations team.
- Team Management: Lead the finance team, providing training, coaching, and career development. Build strong relationships with senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Financial Control & Compliance: Ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to company policies and SOX controls. Manage plant finances, including budgeting and cost analysis. Continuous Improvement: Support cost reduction initiatives and process improvements. Analyze data to identify trends or issues and lead efforts for continuous improvement.
- Finance Expert: Provide financial guidance and support to the manufacturing team on operations, accounting, and internal controls.
Compensation:
The annual starting salary range for this position is $110,000 - $145,000 and is commensurate on experience and education. This full-time position is eligible to participate in the bonus program, paid time off plan, 401k, and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision.
