We have an opportunity at our Montgomery, IL location for a Manufacturing Area Manager overseeing the operations of engineered bearing components. This role requires both technical knowledge of production processes and the ability to lead people toward high performance and continuous improvement. The manager is expected to drive results through employee development, collaboration, and effective use of resources while adhering to regulatory and operational standards

 

Job Responsibilities:

Management of Production Process:

  • Directly oversee the production team and operations within the assigned area.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient production aligned with production plans.
  • Apply problem-solving techniques to address challenges in production processes.

Safety and Continuous Improvement:

  • Promote a culture of safety, ensuring adherence to safety standards and 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
  • Focus on continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes.

Quality and Productivity:

  • Ensure that production output meets the required quality standards and goals.
  • Maintain high-quality operations in compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Compliance with Standards and Regulations:

  • Enforce compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure that team members are aware of and adhere to the standards.

Employee Development:

  • Actively support the growth and development of subordinate employees.
  • Coach and mentor team members to help them achieve personal and professional goals.
  • Facilitate training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.

Coordination of Multi-disciplined Teams:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to accomplish objectives aligned with the plant’s business plan.
  • Ensure collaboration between departments and encourage teamwork to meet plant goals..

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of associate degree in a related field. Preferred bachelor degree in business management, engineering or supply chain.
  • At least seven years of manufacturing process leadership and 3 years of direct supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and lead teams towards achieving business goals.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and its application in improving plant performance.
  • Effective communication skills to ensure alignment across various teams

 

The annual salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 and is commensurate on experience and education. This full-time position is eligible to participate in the bonus program, paid time off plan, 401k, and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision.
