HR Analyst - US
Job Purpose
We are currently seeking a Human Resources Analyst, situated in our Dayton, Ohio office, who will be responsible for developing and cultivating employee relationships across the multiple US branches of the organization. This role requires an individual with strong analytical skills, and knowledge of HR processes to drive data-informed decisions, with the ability to influence a positive working environment. The incumbent will report to the HR Manager of North America and work in close collaboration with the President of Groeneveld-Beka North America
Essential Responsibilities:
Talent Management
- Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees; writes and places position advertisements.
- Responsible for full-cycle recruitment processes, from posting, screening and interviewing, selection, pre-employment screening, offers of employment, and onboarding.
- Coordinating the on-boarding of new hires in conjunction with cross-functional teams – i.e., Service, Inside Sales, Engineering
- Post-hire follow up to ensure benefit administration, smooth transition and company policy awareness is satisfactory.
Compliance
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and informs management to ensure compliance in both Federal and State regulations.
- Communicates changes in personnel policies and procedures and ensures proper compliance is followed.
- Monitor HR compliance within HR systems, and applicable federal/state law (including but not limited to 1-9s, personnel files, Worker’s Compensation, EEO, ADA, and FMLA.
- Develop and maintain HR dashboards and reports on key metrics such as employee turnover, headcount, performance, and recruitment efficiency.
Training and Development
- Facilitates employee training
- Coordinate all year end performance assessments
- Maintain accurate records and collect data for US travel program on Concur
- Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, challenges or other issues
- Coordinates community outreach, charitable campaigns
- Organize and participate in company events.
- Promotes partnerships with all employees and the leadership team to foster a positive work experience to all employees.
- Assists in driving and promoting positive culture by researching workforce trends and participating in market/industry initiatives.
Worker Safety
- Support on-site Health & Safety initiatives and Workers Compensation administration and claims management, collaborating with the EHS team at corporate WHQ.
Payroll, Compensation and Benefits (coordinating with World Head Quarters on the following):
- Maintain accurate records of employee absences, workplace leaves, and return to work plans in conjunction with operational managers. Review time and attendance records and submit reports when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of proven experience as HR Analyst and/or other HR related role
- Degree/Diploma in HR related field
- Demonstrable experience with HR metrics
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases
- Excellent communication (verbal, written) skills along with being people oriented.
- Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft office products
- Proactive problem solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to handle stressful situations in confidentiality.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build effective working relationships and coach managers.
