Schedule: Mon-Fri, approximately 7am-3:30pm
Pay Range: $20.00-$25.00/hr DOE

Position Summary:
The primary role of this position is to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of Timken Mounted Bearings’ Ferndale facilities by performing routine cleaning and light repairs and maintenance tasks to create a clean and operational work environment. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of all buildings, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all employees and visitors. The role will also assist with minor maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the facilities.
Essential Responsibilities:
Custodial Tasks:
- Restrooms: Clean and sanitize restrooms on a daily basis (currently 3 buildings), including toilets, urinals, and sinks; empty trash cans and bring to dumpster. Restock paper and soap products as needed. Clean and sanitize urethane showers 1x per week.
- Kitchens: Wipe down and sanitize kitchens on a daily basis, including countertops and inside microwaves. Clean out and sanitize fridges 1x per week. Wipe down and mop breakrooms (Bldg 1 3x per week/ Bldgs 2 & 3 2x per week).
- General Cleaning: Vacuum carpeted floors 3x per week.Empty office and shared space trash cans 3x per week; empty trash cans and bring to dumpsters. Assist with garbage bins and recycling on assembly lines when possible. Sweep warehouse floors and provide general cleaning 1x per week.
- Keep training room generally cleaned (as needed); wipe down/vacuum after events as needed.
- Help ensure walkways remain clear and free from any litter or debris at all times.
Maintenance Tasks:
- Perform minor plumbing maintenance as needed (running toilet, leaky faucet, etc.).
- Provide general maintenance and special projects as needed such as painting or assisting with racking. Replace light bulbs throughout the buildings as needed. Replace furnace filters on schedule.
- For larger repair needs, organize and coordinate outside contractors (plumbing, electrical, etc.).
- Perform light landscaping/maintenance on a seasonal basis such as mowing, weeding, and litter clean up in the summers and snow removal/ice melt application in winter.
- Handle simple maintenance requests, such as assembly or adjusting furniture or mounting fixtures to walls.
- Organize recycling pick-ups; serve as point of contact.
- Maintain communication and coordination with Cintas; serve as point of contact.
- Maintain a record of cleaning supplies and order replacements as needed.
- Assist with set up/take down for meetings and large events (tables, chairs, etc.).
- Perform other general custodial and maintenance duties as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent and some general sanitation, cleaning, and maintenance knowledge.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment medical examination and background check.
- Must be able to lift 75lbs.
- At least 18 years old.
