Sales & Business Development Purpose
The Sales & Business Development Manager is focused on executing the Industrial Motion (Belts, Chain, Couplings) growth strategy for the region and managing Industrial Motion resources, including orienting, assigning, coaching, counseling, directing the sales resources in assigned countries by communicating job expectations, account planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions, reviewing compensation actions, enforcing policies and procedures.
Additionally, will have the responsibility of gathering market data, trends, opportunities, and competitive threats, to grow the business organically/inorganically.
As a Sales & Business Development Manager you will:
- Leads the execution of Timken Latin America Industrial Motion products (Belts/Chain/Couplings) short term strategy (Including Revenue and share growth, new customer identification, new product launch).
- This person bears the key responsibility of maintaining and developing the Latin America Industrial Motion Sales team (belts, Chain, Couplings) consistent with The Timken Company’s mission and core values.
- Develop and execute sales plans that align with Belts, Chain, and Coupling sales growth and profitability expectations.
- Analyze growth potential in key industries within the region. Identify business strategies & market intelligence, provide strategic direction to sales teams.
- Grow intimate customer centric relationships with our industrial distributors, end user customers and OE across the region.
- Collaborates with country sales managers and sales team to include sales tactics development and execution.
- Understands the customers experience so that we are meeting their expectations on a timely basis that ensures excellent delivery of the Timken brand promise.
- Executes the pricing and program initiatives for both OE and Industrial Distribution, considering market demands, competitive strategies and corporate philosophies and profitability expectations.
- Identify and communicate market trends, competitive environment, growth opportunities for Belts, Chain, Couplings.
- Develop effective travel plan throughout the defined geography to support Sales Specialists.
- Participates in monthly, quarterly, and annual performance review.
- Identify Cross-selling opportunities of multiple product lines.
Minimum qualifications
- Engineer Degree.
- 10+ years of industrial motion knowledge
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Sales experience in manufacturing companies.
