Test technicians test belt products and report their findings to engineers, product developers, and other professionals. They use a wide variety of machines, configurations, and test specifications to perform their job.  Test technicians are also responsible for machine setup, data logging, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the test equipment.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist Development, Application, and Material Engineering groups by providing belt performance data.
  • Configure test machines for specific belt test geometry.
  • Perform regular machine torque calibrations.
  • Measure specific belt characteristics and log the data in the test machine database.
  • Identify belt failure modes and log the information along with specific remarks if necessary.
  • Perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance on all machines.
  • Perform equipment maintenance, spindle repair, etc.
  • Perform basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting as required.
  • Insures that measuring instruments are calibrated annually by an accredited service.


Basic Qualifications:

  • High School or equivalent
  • Must have a good mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and require mechanical systems.
