As part of Global Engineering Centre located in Ploiesti, Romania, key duties will include: 

  • Analyses the design and manufacturing requirements for new products.
  • Launches specific New Product Introduction (NPIT) jobs using APM system.
  • Validate with Product Design, Process, Tooling and Manufacturing teams the APM targets and ensures support within the entire Shop Active process.
  • Creates / updates flow charts of APM state map as per bearings types and design configurations.
  • Administers APM system and its implementation in all Timken Romania Departments involved (Product Design, Manufacturing Technologies, Tooling and Manufacturing) in order to ensure the flow for NPIT.
  • Complete multiple engineering assignments (more than two at a time) of a moderate complexity.
  • Establish, agree corrective actions and update APM accordingly with the departments involved. Prepare and deliver reports.
  • Resolve customer complaint partnering with Quality, identify route causes and develop corrective and preventive actions.
  • Foresees and analyses the constraints which might occur at the level of engineering and manufacturing the NPIT by applying standard processes and procedures.
  • Support Prototype Order Request and test requests.
  • Instructor for basic Advanced Process Management (APM) training classes.
  • Identify improvements and enhancement to existing methods, processes and tools.
  • Respects Company policies, procedures and legal entity regulationsnd Manufacturing teams the APM targets and ensures support within the entire Shop Active process.
  • Creates/updates flow charts of APM state map as per bearing types and design configurations.
  • Administers APM system and its implementation in all Timken Romania Departments involved in order to ensure the flow for new products to manufacture.

 

Candidates for this position should meet the following criteria:

  • University degree in mechanical engineering or related
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process
  • Persuasion Skills
  • Share knowledge and findings with others via Communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Very good English skills – both written and oral
  • Very good PC Skills
