Purpose:

To identify, develop and implement East Asia suppliers into Timken’s supply chain for both local plants and global sourcing. Assuring that Timken’s brand promise is delivered through the supply chain in terms of overall quality and delivery performance, whilst leveraging Timken’s global and regional presence to achieve improved total cost of ownership for Timken and our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and develop suitable East Asia suppliers to support Timken’s growth in a timely and cost effective manner.
• Leads sourcing activities within a country/region and participates on the appropriate teams in either the leadership or participant role.
• Manage supplier network capacity to support Timken’s supply aspirations.
• Pushes for expansion of supplier capacity (when required) when necessary to meet the growth plans of the business.
• Investigate market cost, identify potential candidates to leverage supply base from flexibility & cost standpoints.
• Manage supplier performance, continue improve OTD, lead time to support plant needs.
• Rationalize the supplier network in East Asia to max profit through different tax rules for domestic and global markets.  
• Identify and develop suitable suppliers for new product type to support Timken product portfolio expansion. 
   

Requirements:

• Over 5 years  strategy sourcing experience for manufacture business. 
• Demonstrate past experience with Strategic thinking, global mindset and result focus to leading consistent performance. 
• Experienced to lead complexity global projects, utilize across functions resources to hit project plans. good problem solving skills.
• Mechanical Engineering and supplier quality management background is preferred. 
• Fluent English and SAP system skills. 
• Master degree is preferred.
