Purpose:
The responsibility for sourcing activities and supplier management, requires the skills necessary to help supplier development activities.
Generate commodity strategy, capture the cost saving opportunities, creatively negotiate with suppliers, generate contracts, ensure contractual agreement terms are met, manage delivery of optimal supply chain solutions.
Responsibilites:
• Gain knowledge of suppliers’ manufacturing processes, technology decisions and policies to finding Supply Chain solutions that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizations by leveraging the volume of business.
• Identify and build appropriate supply base, assures that the supply base capacity to fit plant demand structure
• Pushes for expansion of supplier capacity (when required) when necessary to meet the growth plans of the business.
• Assures the necessary project tracking process and completes the required supplier information (requests for information, requests for quotation, NDA’s, …)
• Negotiate supplier pricing to support Timken’s target cost structure.
• Coordinate the launch process for new suppliers
• The local Timken interface with suppliers within the country/region for the Timken organization.
• Support the plant purchasing for the urgent or complex cases
• Machining, material related experience is preferred.
• Major of Machinery is preferred
Requirements:
• Bachelor degree with Metal Material or Mechanical major or above;
• At least 3 years Sourcing or SQD working experience in mechanical industry
• Demonstrated commodity management expertise
• Analytical, data driven approach with an attention to detail
• Solid written and oral English ability; SAP transactions ability
• Work well under pressure
