Position: Warehouse Utility Worker I

Location: PT Tech – Wadsworth, OH

Job Type: Full-time

Shift: Day shift

Starting Pay: $21.00/hr, or higher based on experience

Position Summary:

A Warehouse Utility Worker performs an array of functions including but not limited to: receiving stock, picking stock, packaging and shipping internal and external customer orders, and managing and organizing stock in the warehouse.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload, and move materials to inventory storage locations within the warehouse, shop, and work cells by hand, cart, forklift, or pallet jack
  • Compare quantities on paperwork and within SAP to check for accuracy
  • Pick, package, schedule, and prepare orders and paperwork for shipment to vendors or customers
  • Working knowledge of SAP functions for related job level
  • Follows and practices all established safety rules
  • Liaison between Shipping/Receiving and other departments pertaining to material receipts, production paperwork, and sales paperwork
  • Follows established work practices and procedures to ensure quality while following applicable ISO processes and work instructions, in particular PT Tech Quality Management System processes
  • Keeps assigned work area clean, neat, and well organized
  • Accepts and develops PT Tech items as required
  • Drive a box truck for movement of components/supplies between warehouse and shop
  • Other duties may include cycle counting, maintaining FIFO, emptying trash, monitoring shop supplies, and general housekeeping

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of related experience or training
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unites of measure
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instruction and correspondence
  • Must be eligible to work in the US

 

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft and SAP
  • Ability to work independently and self-manage activities to meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize workload based on demands to support production
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
