The Supply Assurance Analyst at PT Tech converts customer demand into accurate supplier orders to ensure timely component flow to finished-goods production. This role uses SAP and strong supply chain knowledge to resolve supply/demand discrepancies, manage supplier relationships, and maintain service and inventory targets. The analyst will work closely with manufacturing plants, suppliers, and strategic sourcing to uphold availability, on-time delivery, and inventory performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage flow of components to finished-goods plants by creating and maintaining purchase orders and open order reports.
- Monitor and manage exceptions with both internal and external suppliers to meet production needs.
- Use SAP to review customer demand, identify discrepancies, and translate demand into supplier orders.
- Interface directly with plant schedulers and manufacturing facilities to resolve supply or demand issues.
- Collaborate with suppliers and strategic sourcing to secure capacity and make order adjustments when required.
- Maintain and achieve customer service metrics, including Availability to Request, On-Time Delivery (OTD) to Promise, and Stock-In rate.
- Maintain statistical safety stock and inventory targets (dollars and days) to balance service levels and financial goals.
- Analyze system data to identify major discrepancies and support resolution of supply- or demand-related data issues.
- Provide timely reporting and communication to stakeholders on supply status, risks, and corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to supply assurance processes and SAP utilization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 3–5+ years of procurement or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in SAP (experience using SAP for demand/supply management and purchasing).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Demonstrated analytical problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Results-focused with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet service/inventory targets.
- Knowledge of bearing component production processes or similar manufacturing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working directly with outside suppliers in component production.
- Experience interpreting production operations and translating plant demand into supplier requirements.
- Familiarity with strategic sourcing processes and supplier capacity planning.
- Experience with manufacturing KPIs and inventory financial metrics (days of inventory, inventory dollars).
