This position may require access to United States export controlled technical data (“CTD”) and hardware under the Departments of US State (ITAR) and/or Commerce (EAR).  Eligible candidates are; US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees or others eligible to receive US export license authorizations. The purpose of the Team Planner is to provide operational support for the scheduling and release of orders. This person also functions as a back-up supervisor.
 
Responsibilities:

The role is primarily responsible to organize and coordinate the release of orders for production.  This includes running production reports, ensuring Heijunka cards are available for Operators, and maintaining the Item Master Sheets.  The person in this role is responsible for reconciling the Negative On-Hand reports, including researching issues and performing related transactions.  The person in this role also is responsible for verifying pick lists for accuracy and reviewing and researching the shortage report. This person will be responsible for maintaining location integrity and for identifying areas for improvement in the process.  This position is also responsible for reconciling scrap and processing related inventory transactions, and for managing the Cycle Count program for Traverse City.

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment, or similar exposure to a Planner role.
  • Familiar with, or willing to obtain training in MRP on XA software.
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Suite experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
