The Product Engineer is responsible for managing Cone Drive’s product offerings and product lifecycle—from analyzing the market and defining new product requirements to developing the business case and creating technical marketing/training materials to support sales. 

 

  • Research market trends to understand future opportunities for development and growth of Cone Drive products and capabilities
  • Interface with customers and Cone Drive sales personnel to understand and define requirements for product solutions
  • Conduct competitor analysis to maintain visibility of product and technology offerings available on the market
  • Develop business cases for New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives including commercial justification, project scope, resource requirements, and timing
  • Develop online tools and technical marketing materials to optimize information available for customers
  • Provide technical product support & training to internal and external Cone Drive teams
  • Assist sales and marketing teams by providing technical training to current and prospective customers

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
  • Prior engineering and sales experience required (3-5 years), preferably in the same or related field
  • Prior management experience, in an engineering, sales, and/or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and sound knowledge in mechanical engineering principles
  • Demonstrated customer interfacing experience and success
  • Excellent communication skills (written, spoken, presentation)
  • Demonstrated drive for continuous improvement
  • Experience with related rotating or motion control equipment or applications

This position may require access to United States export controlled technical data (“CTD”) and hardware under the Departments of US State (ITAR) and/or Commerce (EAR).  Eligible candidates are; US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees or others eligible to receive US export license authorizations. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
