The Export Compliance Analyst ensures compliance with applicable regulations (USITC, OFAC, DDTC, AECA, ITAR) for export of Company products. This includes adherence to and maintenance of company procedures, documentation, and execution of required activities. This role also owns internal training for compliance and manages duty drawback activity. Responsibilities include the following:
- Export Compliance:
- Defines Part Classification (ITAR/ECCN/EAR99)
- Ensures ITAR Compliance
- Maintains/Completes Export Shipping Documentation
- Schedule B / Country of Origin Classifications
- Supports corporate security compliance initiatives as necessary
- Conduct RPS Screening / Review Approvals for new customers, suppliers, etc.
- Approves ITAR Supplier Review
- Conducts/Tracks New Employee Training / Annual ITAR Training
- Duty Drawback
- Conducts Annual Internal Audits
- Maintains Export Procedures, Forms and Work Instructions, and Export Manual
- Generates Letter of Assurance Approvals
- Conducts Contract Review/FTT Export Reviews
- Perform Sr. Customer Service Representative duties
- Performs Customer Service Representative duties as time permits:
- Provides price and delivery quotations to customers
- Processes customer purchase orders which includes contract review and order entry
- Reviews availability and guidelines and then schedule some orders
- Clarifies ambiguous requirements to ensure customer specifications are met
- Processes customer change orders
- Provides communication link between customers and company
- Processes customer returns and complaints
- Manages project orders when required
- Manages projects to improve customer service, increase company revenue and reduce company costs
Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Business or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7 to 10 years’ experience and strong understanding of export compliance regulations; high mix product environment preferred
- Working knowledge of ITAR, EAR99, and related processes
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Communicates effectively (written/verbal) with high level of professionalism.
- Strong problem solving skills.
This position may require access to United States export controlled technical data (“CTD”) and hardware under the Departments of US State (ITAR) and/or Commerce (EAR). Eligible candidates are; US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees or others eligible to receive US export license authorizations. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
