This Manufacturing Engineer position is responsible for overseeing manufacturing area activities to drive improvements in productivity, product quality, and safe operations. Other responsibilities include:

  • Monitor process operation metrics to identify opportunities for performance optimization and waste reduction.
  • Design, operate, control, and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and capacity.
  • Implement strategies to improve product quality, reduce operating costs, and streamline workflows.
  • Focus on quality at the source by minimizing departmental off-quality material and scrap, mitigating downstream effects, and collaborating with upstream processes to address incoming quality issues.
  • Gather and analyze data to evaluate current work processes, determine workflow efficiency, and identify cost and time-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for long-term process improvements.
  • Collaborate with planning and design teams to ensure product design and tooling support efficient production methods.
  • Work with vendors to define product specifications, arrange procurement of equipment and materials, and evaluate products for compliance with quality standards.
  • Apply problem-solving and productivity techniques to assess and implement improvement strategies.
  • Train and guide others in continuous process improvement methodologies, including root cause analysis, process mapping, and time-cost management.
  • Facilitate employee teams to build cohesiveness and improve overall performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Tooling design experience preferred.
  • Six Sigma and Lean experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, documentation and project management skills
  • Strong capabilities with Microsoft Office

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range:  The yearly compensation for this role is $76,860 - $93,940 and is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Actual pay may be higher or lower than the posted range.
  • Benefits:  Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
  • Other Compensation:  Includes participation in a short-term incentive program and wellness incentives.
