The dispatcher works cohesively between operations, support groups and management to maintain and improve machine run time. Monitors Andon activation and escalation process. Serves as coordinator for 5C and Red Card A3 Problem Solving.
Responsibilities of a Dispatcher include the following, but is not limited to:
- Follows all safety rules and regulations.
- Responsible for the quality and quantity of work produced.
- Follows the directions/instructions of the Supervisor and/or Manager.
- Follows all standards, certifications, and training manual procedures.
- Manages Andon database and data mines within the database to support groups as needed in problem solving.
- Dispatch help chain members at pre-designated intervals.
- Investigate historical data and relay information to help chain members.
- Assist gathering shop floor production numbers when needed.
- Tracks all open 5C’s and Red Card A3’s – Alerts as to report out timing.
- Monitors all closed Red Card A3’s for 90 days to ensure no reoccurrence.
- Provides data assistance with Red Card A3 effors.
- Ensures all visual management tools in the operations center are being maintained to the standard.
- Manages radio communication between operations and help chain members.
- Monitors/maintains boards in Operations Center, on a daily/weekly cadence.
- Posts daily and weekly production statuses.
- Produces Pareto and Trend charts for department meetings.
- Facilitates problem-solving and root cause corrective action process.
- Supports in data gathering as necessary and produces additional data analysis upon request.
Performs various related duties and other tasks as assigned, such as providing the metrics that support the departments key performance indicators.
Qualifications, Skills & Expertise:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Strong communication.
- Must possess Microsoft Office skills with advanced Excel skills to include working with and building spreadsheets, pivot tables, and graph generation.
- Ability to maintain accurate record keeping.
Successfully complete TMOS training/certification within determined timeframe of accepting job.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: The yearly compensation for this role is $62,000 - $75,000 and is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Actual pay may be higher or lower than the posted range.Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.Other Compensation: Includes participation in a short-term incentive program and wellness incentives.
