The Customer Service Representative serves as a critical link between our customers, sales team, manufacturing operations, and supply chain functions. This position is responsible for managing customer orders, responding to inquiries, coordinating deliveries, resolving issues, and ensuring exceptional customer experience throughout the order fulfillment process.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, or engineered product customers is highly preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding orders, deliveries, product availability, pricing, and general inquiries.
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently within SAP system.
  • Monitor order status and proactively communicate updates, delays, or changes to customers.
  • Coordinate with production planning, supply chain, logistics, engineering, and sales teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Review and maintain customer forecasts and demand requirements.
  • Manage customer requests, complaints, and concerns, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
  • Track and communicate delivery schedules, shipment information, and backlog status.
  • Support account management activities by developing strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in customer meetings and cross-functional planning discussions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and customer requirements.

 

Qualifications (Required)

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of customer service, customer support, order management, or inside sales experience.
  • Experience working with SAP platform.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: The yearly compensation for this role is $60,000 - $74,000 and is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Actual pay may be higher or lower than the posted range.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
  • Other Compensation:  Includes participation in a short-term incentive program and wellness incentives.
