Philadelphia Gear is currently seeking a Material Coordinator for shipping, receiving and inventory control. Packages, ships and receives material as required including necessary paperwork and computer functions. Drives company truck and is responsible for truck maintenance, advises of tag renewal.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including scheduling, staging, loading and unloading trucks, and safely handling palletized components.
- Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, damage, and compliance with purchase orders, bills of lading, and shipping documentation. Reports discrepancies promptly.
- Receive, label, and store new materials, components, and finished goods in designated locations while maintaining accurate inventory records and following OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Prepare shipping documents, bills of lading, and necessary compliance paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines, during all warehouse activities.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Ensure proper crating, packaging, labeling, and handling of products to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping, receiving, and inventory activities using Epicor - Kinetic.
Applicant must have the following qualifications:
Computer literate and Microsoft Office proficient (Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook).
Familiarity with ERP systems, Epicor – Kinetic preferred.
Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures.
Must be able to use tools such as table saws, jig saws, nail guns, and other hand tools required to perform shipment of large items that may require palletizing or crating.
Must have carpentry skills to be able to build wooden crates for shipping.
Practice and emphasize values and a culture that place the highest standards on workplace safety, housekeeping, and quality of workmanship. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and warehouse best practices preferred.
Develop relationships with peer groups that foster teamwork and unity of purpose. Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Applicant must be able to walk, stand, climb, lift up and/or move up to 50 pounds, see, hear and use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
Forklift certification or ability to obtain is required.
Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, bills of lading, and packing list. Strong attention to detail and organization abilities.
Ensure timeliness, proper preservation, and satisfactory packaging or boxing of all materials to be shipped.
Verify satisfactory completion of all customer-required details such as markings, documents, and carriers.
Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, or weekends if needed.
US citizen or a legally authorized foreign worker to work in ITAR environment.
Read and speak English fluently.
Must have a valid drivers license.
Must have a high school degree or equivalent and 5+ years experience shipping/receiving parts.
Pay Range: $30 - $36.02 per hour
This position may require access to United States export controlled technical data (“CTD”) and hardware under the Departments of US State (ITAR) and/or Commerce (EAR). Eligible candidates are; US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees or others eligible to receive US export license authorizations. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
