Philadelphia Gear part of the Timken Power Systems group in Santa Fe Springs, CA has a current opening for a Idocs Technician position. The position is responsible for receiving, reviewing, and processing drawing request for all Philadelphia Gear facilities.  The incumbent will input information into the intranet document system and file management of original drawings, bills of materials, and microfilm cards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Review, scan and upload all purchase order certifications completed through Quality inspection to appropriate VW location
  • Review, scan and upload all completed travelers including all supporting documentation to appropriate VW location
  • Scan and upload Quality Management reviewed documents to appropriate VW location
  • Assist Quality Supervisor with MRG Build Book reviews and corrective item actions
  • Assist in tracking release of controlled ITAR and EAR drawings and prints for production use, ensuring most current revisions are available to production personnel
  • Track release of controlled Quality Documents for production use ensuring most current revision is available to production personnel
  • Work independently and in support of quality functions as determined by the Quality Manager
  • Assist Quality Supervisor in Regulatory, Customer, and 3rd party audits and visits
  • Follow all prescribed safety rules and regulations, including but not limited to (lock out tag out, personal protective equipment, fire evacuation protocol, etc.)

 

Required Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Minimum High School equivalent with minimum 5+ years document control experience  
  • Familiar with reading and understanding detailed engineered drawings
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals     
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality requirements and certifications
  • Experience with DoD or other Government-related agencies a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

 

 

Pay Range: $47K - $55K annual
