Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM with overtime as needed

Position Summary:
Timken is seeking a motivated and results focused Engineering Technician to provide engineering problem-solving and support for product, process, tooling, and methods activities on 2nd shift.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Work with other Engineering team members to establish process parameters
- Conduct trials and perform basic evaluations of abrasives, tooling, EGCs, etc.
- Collect, analyze, and evaluate relevant process data
- Input and professionally present data/information in the requested format
- Own NPI tooling process for rings including identification, documentation, and procurement of prototype tooling.
- Support tooling/fixturing development in support of NPI, problem solving, and development of robust processes.
- Provide procedural documentation for set-ups and other process inputs
- Initiate work requests as required for equipment maintenance/modifications
- Serve as a resource for continuous improvement efforts within the facility as requested
- Provide both formal and informal feedback as to performance of products and process inputs
- Training and development of other employees in standardized work using TWI training methodology
- Identifying and remediating incorrect standard work
- Problem solving general manufacturing issues
- Taking applicable actions to address problems, including:
- Implementing temporary countermeasures
- Escalation of problems to next level(s)
- Ensuring associates and resources produce quality parts in an efficient manner
- Maintaining strong communication between employees, shifts, and plant leaders through leading by example, training and communicating expectations
- Ensuring plant personnel and safety policies and procedures are followed properly and consistently
- Rapid resolution of prioritized safety and quality issues
- Support processing of prototypes through required operations
- Support of Methods through maintenance of master data and initiation and facilitation of proper change management
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Must be eligible to work in the US.
- Must successfully complete Timken Manufacturing Operating System (TMOS) at next wave offered.
- Experience in production planning, flow, and lean manufacturing principles, grinding and/or assembly technologies and processes.
- Strong leadership, initiative, and communication skills.
- Computer skills including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office Word / Excel; SAP.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- 2-year Associates degree or 5+ years of experience in a technical problem solving role.
- Prior completion of Timken Manufacturing Operating System (TMOS).
- Experience with one or more CAD packages.
