Position Summary:
Provides engineering support for functions, including new product introduction, process improvements, cost reduction activities, manufacturing capability improvements and
efficiency improvements. Responds to andons and zone control directions.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop process drawings and CNC programs using CAD/CAM package.
- Develop and maintain process design standards.
- Create and maintain tooling drawings.
- Create and set-up tooling materials in engineering systems.
- Support process development and continuous improvement initiatives involving abrasives, tooling, set-up parameters/engineered cycles.
- Level I problem solving (as applicable to process solutions and suspect material disposition).
- Andon response and Zone Control/A3 support including report outs and documentation.
- Dimensional and visual inspection.
- Support engineering project activities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or above in a technical field.
- Training in CAD/CAM software.
- 1 - 5 years Manufacturing experience.
- 18 years of age of older.
- Must be eligible to work in the US.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- ProE / Creo4 Training in CAD/CAM software.
- Working understanding of manufacturing specific processes (grind, hard turn, superfinish, heat treat), as well as ability to learn other engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Experience using, and intermediate skill level in, MS Office software applications (Excel, Word).
- Demonstrated aptitude in mathematical, mechanical, and analytical applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal mediums and project work documents.
