Position Summary:

 

This position performs multiple levels of Human Resource generalist functions specifically in creating and maintaining all associate personnel records (physical and electronic). This position is payroll lead for site responsible for successful salaried payroll management with hourly payroll backup as needed. Position is located in Randleman, NC.

 

 

Essential Responsibilities:

 

  • Act as the primary HR partner for employees: advise on benefits and insurance questions, resolve employee inquiries, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies.

 

  • Own the training database/LMS: assign courses, track completions, ensure record accuracy, and support development reporting.

 

  • Manage HRIS and employee data integrity: process time/pay corrections, update vacation/holiday accruals, and implement hourly and salaried pay changes with accuracy.

 

  • Drive recruiting and onboarding (internal and external): create inclusive job postings, manage applicant tracking, coordinate interviews, support offer processes, and deliver a best-in-class new hire experience.

 

  • Lead performance management administration and job posting workflows, ensuring timely reviews, clear documentation, and alignment with pay guidelines.

 

  • Produce HR analytics and regular/ad-hoc reports (payroll inputs, turnover, headcount, compensation budgeting) to inform leaders and improve decisions.

 

  • Serve as HR backup across the plant: handle employee relations in a non-union environment, field employee questions, and coach managers on HR processes.

 

  • Improve HR operations and administration: maintain accurate employee files, coordinate non-safety apparel/office supplies, document procedures, and train administrative staff.

 

  • Model Timken values in all HR practices, ensuring equitable treatment, confidentiality, and consistent application of processes.

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.

 

  • 5+ years of experience in human resources or related business field.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

 

  • Associate degree in business, human resources or related business field.

 

  • 2+ years of experience in human resources or related business field.
