In this role, you will contribute to the successful design, analysis, and manufacture of Timken products by advancing and supporting the engineering software and data systems that enable our global engineering organization. You will be involved in both current engineering tools support and future platform modernization, playing a key role in the evolution of our digital engineering capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development, enhancement, and support of engineering software tools, ensuring alignment with Corporate engineering system requirements.
  • Support current engineering tools development and redesign initiatives to modernize engineering toolsets and digital workflows.
  • Ensure the maintenance, accuracy, and security of product and process data, maintaining strong data integrity across systems, product lines, and regions and in alignment with Corporate engineering systems requirements.
  • Support data management activities, process improvements, and system modifications needed for engineering systems upgrades and business initiatives (such as new product lines, acquisitions, rationalization, and continuous improvement).
  • Collaborate closely with functions including product design, manufacturing/process engineering, engineering systems, SAP, and product development to implement integrated system solutions.

Candidates for this position should meet the following criteria:

  • Engineering degree (Mechanical, Computer Science, or related field)
  • Relevant work experience in product design, process engineering, data management, and/or engineering software development
  • Strong understanding of engineering practices and analytical methodologies
  • Computer literate, with experience working with digital systems and software (Excel‑VBA, Visual Basic, C#, SQL, CAD systems, etc.). Experience with Databricks or other AI‑based development platforms is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Demonstrated teamwork, with previous experience working in cross‑functional or engineering teams
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work across functions and global teams
