Purpose and Scope

Provide guidance and expertise to the global organization related to Master Data Management. Deep Informatica experience required to support or lead master data initiatives that ensure trusted, consistent, and governed master data across the enterprise. The role combines technical MDM solution design and development with strong data governance, stakeholder engagement, and operational support responsibilities. You will design, implement, and operationalize MDM solutions and enterprise data governance/catalog capabilities to ensure high-quality, discoverable, and governed data across the organization.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, development, and implementation of MDM solutions using Informatica MDM and related Informatica products.
  • Work with the team to evaluate business needs and priorities, liaise with key business partners and address team needs related to data management and order management processes.
  • Develop and maintain data models, match/merge rules, survivorship logic, and data stewardship workflows.
  • Implement and tune matching/merging algorithms to achieve desired survivorship and golden record outcomes.
  • Optimize Informatica MDM hubs, services, and associated integration components.
  • Design and develop ETL/ELT mappings, workflows, and data pipelines.
  • Create and maintain data quality rules, profiling jobs, cleansing routines, and monitoring dashboards.
  • Implement and maintain Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC) components: metadata harvesting, business glossary, policy enforcement, lineage, and data discovery features.
  • Create and maintain data models, source-to-target mappings, and integration patterns between MDM and CDGC to ensure accurate metadata, lineage, and catalog synchronization
  • Collaborate with Data Governance, Data Owners, business SMEs, and downstream system teams to define source-to-target mappings, data standards, and master data workflows.
  • Support data onboarding, source system integrations, onboarding playbooks, and entity lifecycle management.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes and performance optimizations.
  • Produce technical documentation, runbooks, data lineage, and knowledge transfer materials.
  • Mentor junior MDM analysts and provide technical leadership across projects; participate in architecture reviews and data governance councils.
  • Responsible for the creation and adoption of standards for global compliance and master data integrity across the company including working with global business leaders to assure compliance and develop improvement projects.
  • Effectively manage the day-to-day activities to ensure completion of key tasks and activities related to ensuring accuracy and that all master data is current and to correct any data anomalies.

 

TECHNICAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • 5+ years working in Master Data Management or data governance roles.
  • Hands-on experience implementing and supporting MDM solutions (golden record creation, survivorship, matching and merging rules).
  • Proficiency with Informatica MDM such as developing and deploying MDM match/merge workflows, survivorship, and business rules.
  • Hands-on experience with Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog such as managing stewardship workflows, business glossary terms, policies, glossaries and certification processes in CDGC.
  • Strong SQL skills for profiling, data validation, and troubleshooting (complex joins, window functions, stored procedures
  • Experience with SAP ECC and related modules such as CRM, and MDM.
  • Experience building and governing business glossaries, data dictionaries, policy frameworks and stewardship processes using CDGC
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office preferred, especially Teams, Project and SharePoint.
  • Good organization and multi-tasking skills with ability to manage multiple activities.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to process and structure qualitative and quantitative data in a way that can be shared with others to help facilitate informed business decision making.
  • Skilled at active listening, written and verbal communication.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment, collaborating with peers and providing leadership or guidance as needed.
  • Must be proactive, self-starting and intrinsically motivated.

 

EDUCATION:

 

  • Required:  Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering or IT and 4+ years’ experience in Master Data Management.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering or IT and 2+ years’ experience in Master Data Management.
