Purpose of Position

This role supports order-based activity by reviewing customer prints and specifications to validate the Timken product meets all customer requirements.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Review customers prints and specifications at the time of a customer PO to ensure and   
  • maintain alignment between all customer requirements and Timken product definition
  • Work with supporting groups (sales, customer service, customer engineering, product
  • management) to resolve any discrepancies or engineering exceptions.
  • Define and launch change requests (MOC) if changes to Timken product are required to comply with new or revised customer requirements.
  • Upload new or revised customer data into the product data management system, Teamcenter TITAN, and ensure alignment with the correct revision of the Timken end item data.
  • Work with sales, customer service, customer engineering and product management teams to resolve CV workflow issues or roadblocks.

 

Required skills & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of CV process, metrics, and roles & responsibilities
  • Familiarity with aerospace products and specifications
  • Working knowledge of Teamcenter CV workflow
  • Working knowledge of Teamcenter product data management system
  • Ability to review engineering prints and specifications
  • Ability to work with, manipulate and edit product data in Teamcenter
