Join Timken’s Global Total Rewards team and help shape how we attract, reward, and retain the talent that powers our business globally. This position exists to support the design, administration, compliance, and ongoing improvement of Timken’s benefits programs. The Benefits Analyst ensures programs are competitive, cost‑effective, compliant with federal and state legislation, and aligned with the company’s Total Rewards strategy. The role provides data integrity, vendor coordination, invoice administration, and employee support to optimize the overall benefit experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer core benefit programs including health & welfare programs; maintain accurate employee records and process enrollments, life events, and terminations.
  • Provide exceptional employee and HR partner support, serving as a subject matter expert on benefit policies, processes, and systems while maintaining confidentiality and service quality.
  • Oversee the administration of benefit invoice processing, including validating carrier invoices, researching discrepancies, coordinating credits/refunds, and ensuring accurate and timely payment processing.
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, IRS regulations, and plan governance requirements; support audits, nondiscrimination testing, 5500 filings, notices, and plan documentation.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships by troubleshooting escalated employee issues, validating billing, participating in renewal discussions, and supporting RFP processes.
  • Support annual open enrollment, including system configuration, testing, communications development, and ongoing project tracking.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Data Analytics or related field, Master’s degree preferred, CEBS/CBP certification a plus
  • 2 years in Benefits Administration or Data/Financial Analysis, preferably in a global manufacturing environment
  • Proficient with Excel skills, including organizing data, creating reports, and using functions
  • Understands systemic thinking and how decisions/processes are interconnected across functions, regions and organizational levels
  • Works well in cross-functional teams, building positive working relationships with HR, HRIS, Payroll/Finance and external partners
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills, using data to identify issues and recommend practical solutions
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for stakeholders at all levels
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates a strong willingness to jump in, take ownership of work, and support the team where needed
