Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for maintaining and executing the master production schedule (MPS), developing detailed machining department schedules, and creating and maintaining routings for all processes to ensure on-time production, optimal resource utilization, and balanced inventory. This role partners with production, engineering, quality, and procurement to convert demand into realistic, executable shop schedules and drive continuous improvement throughput and lead times.
Essential Job Duties
- Maintain and execute the master production schedule to meet customer delivery commitments and inventory targets.
- Translate forecasts and customer orders into production orders and release schedules.
- Monitor schedule adherence and manage exceptions to minimize disruptions.
- Machining Department Scheduling.
- Develop and maintain short-, mid-, and long-term schedules for the machining department, balancing capacity, priorities, and constraints.
- Perform capacity planning and load leveling analyses; recommend schedule adjustments to optimize throughput and reduce bottlenecks.
- Coordinate daily with production supervisors and planners to ensure work orders are communicated and priorities are understood.
- Routing Creation & Maintenance.
- Create, validate, and update routings and operation sequences in the ERP system, including standard times, work centers, setup times, tooling requirements, and inspection steps.
- Work with engineering to incorporate design or process changes into routings and support first-off runs and process validations.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 7 years of experience in production or master scheduling, supply chain planning, or production planning in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- 18 years of age or older.
Skills:
- Hands-on experience creating and maintaining routings and operation sequences in an ERP/MRP system.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, work centers, setups, tooling, and common constraints in machining operations.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar preferred).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions in a fast-paced production environment.

All associates are required to wear protective eyewear, hearing protection, and slip resistant, steel-toed shoes at all times while on the plant floor.
