Position Summary:
This role will provide leadership and management by supporting the operations of the Aurora bearing plant in Manufacturing Systems (Scheduling, Supply Chain, and ERP management). This will be accomplished by directing the overall activities of the plant’s supply chain department including manufacturing scheduling, demand management, capacity planning and Master Data maintenance in our ERP System. This role will direct the production planning and control systems to meet customer forecast requirements and meet OTD KPIs.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead the Sales, Inventory and Operational (SIOP) function to maintain a forward-looking plan for excellence in quality and delivery for the facility.
- Develop a team of direct reports to ensure a continuous support of all operational functions through both annual goal setting, ongoing coaching, high level talent management and annual succession planning.
- Create and maintain a communication plan for performance accomplishments and review & define future direction with all stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and direction for production control and inventory reporting.
- Directs daily operations of the supply chain department, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards, and setting milestones and deadlines while driving continuous improvement.
- Develop, improve, and produce reports, analysis, ERP & supply chain training, and inventory improvement ideas.
- Partner with Corporate Supply Chain team to ensure that priorities / concerns are communicated, support product rationalization decisions & implement effectively, and oversee that best practices are implemented.
- Provide Leadership in the areas of shop floor control, finite scheduling, master scheduling, and capacity planning.
- Coordinate the management of plant inventories which include raw materials, supplies, work is process and finished inventories.
- Directs the supply chain team to assure targets are met for scheduled accomplishment, OTD, Stock-in-Rate, and Inventory levels for Raw/WIP and Finished Goods.
- Drives continuous improvements within their department and supports continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business).
- At least 10 years of experience in supply chain.
- At least 3 years of experience leading people in a manufacturing setting.
