We have an opportunity at our Montgomery, IL location for a Manufacturing Production Scheduler.  This role will schedule the progress of rod-end and spherical bearing products and components through the manufacturing sequence to secure maximum efficiency to meet production time schedules.

Position Summary:

 

Assists the operations manager, supervisors, and production planners with component and assembly scheduling. Creates and maintains accurate, timely work orders to meet customer demand while balancing capacity, material availability, and operational priorities. Coordinates with planning, materials, engineering, quality, and operations to resolve scheduling constraints, input to weekly priorities, push expedites, ensure schedule attainment, and support on-time delivery and efficient production flow.

 

 

Essential Responsibilities:

 

  • Work independently and cross functionally to drive supply chain and operational priorities that meet customer demand.

 

  • Use the ERP system (AVANTE) to review material requirements, workbenches, and system data to launch, close, or cancel work orders.

 

  • Ensure accurate start and finish dates for components and finished units.

 

  • Evaluate and expedite components and finished units within manufacturing to maintain flow and meet delivery targets.

 

  • Perform root cause and corrective action (RCCA) to identify and resolve scheduling constraints, escalating where needed.

 

  • Propose solutions, including part substitutions, production pivots (e.g., screw machine to bar stock), expediting raw materials, requesting cycle counts, and adjusting schedules or quantities when appropriate.

 

  • Align work orders with machine capacity, monitor machine constraints, and coordinate directly with operations supervisors as applicable.

 

  • Independently create, maintain, and distribute reports to support scheduling decisions and provide visibility where needed.

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

 

  • At least one year of manufacturing process knowledge.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

 

  • Preferred associate degree in a related field.

 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including strong Excel skills.

 

  • Ability to muti-task.

 

  • Ability to work through situations in a calm and data driven mentality.

 

  • Self-accountability to meet deadlines.

 

  • Comfort in working and communicating with plant senior leadership team.
