Position Summary:
We have an opportunity at our Montgomery, IL location for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician. This role specifies and develops operational sequences and manufacturing methods, and provides technical support to internal and external customers. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician partners across engineering, quoting, production, and quality to ensure parts are designed and produced in the most cost-effective and manufacturable way while maintaining high standards for process control and product quality.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Partner with product engineers to develop part configurations that are cost-effective and manufacturable.
- Collaborate with the quoting department to develop and review process steps, tooling needs, and cycle times to generate accurate costing data for new and existing parts.
- Develop, review, and maintain process steps as routings on a regular basis to ensure process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Create or review process steps for sales order checklists.
- Develop, review, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes, set-ups, fixtures, and cycle times; provide training and technical support for the production floor as required.
- Evaluate, recommend, and test machinery and equipment for process implementation and capability.
- Determine rework methods to salvage non-conforming parts.
- Support CNC operations including programming, troubleshooting, and DNC library management.
- Work closely with quality departments to develop procedures, standards, and set-up sheets.
- Assist with the design and fabrication of prototype parts.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred associate degree or technical diploma in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in machining processes, tooling, fixtures, and machining best practices.
- Proven experience supporting CNC machining operations, including programming (CAM), troubleshooting, and DNC library management
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications; proficient with CAD and internal software systems.
- Self-accountability to meet deadlines.
