The Inventory & Material Control is located at the Company's Ludington facility and is responsible to ensure inventory accuracy, receipt and release of materials for production, and for managing outsourced production work.
Responsibilities:
- Organizes and coordinates the release of orders for production
- Owns facility cycle count and inventory accuracy program
- Runs production reports, ensuring Heijunka cards are available for Operators, and maintaining the Item Master Sheets
- Responsible for reconciling the Negative On-Hand reports, including researching issues and performing related transactions
- Verifies pick lists for accuracy and reviewing / researches the shortage report
- Manages stockroom while maintaining location integrity and identifying areas for improvement in the process
- Reconciles scrap and processes related inventory transactions. Manage and have accountability for overseeing physical inventory and cycle count program
- Manage and have accountability for inventory integrity, including stockroom location, obsolete inventory, excess stock and stock replenishment process
- Actively participate up front in NPSI process to proactively plan material requirements for new projects
- Identify opportunities and drive improvements to the material flow for current processes
- Maximize the potential and drive continuous improvement in the manufacturing operating systems, (PaperLess, PowerLink)
- Manage transactional processes for material flow and m-order control including outside operations
- Supports root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to inventory discrepancies and material shortages
- Participates in cross-functional teams to support lean manufacturing and cost reduction initiative
Requirements:
- 3 years’ experience in manufacturing operations / material control functions
- 1-2 years’ experience in MRP/ERP systems
- Proficient in Microsoft office, (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Self-motivated to take on initiatives and drive improvements into the facilities
