Purpose:

 

Will perform production control and planning activities for all services at Bii. Process includes management of daily planning generated from EPICOR system to coordinate with Customer Service to plan production schedule. Supports Operations manager with day-to-day shop floor management activities; maintains workflow within repair station to meet required customer and business commitments. Additional duties will include support of Lean activities and improvements to operations processes. This position coordinates with materials, quality, and engineering for support of daily plan.   

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Leadership: Essential in directing production associates and prioritizing daily work flow.  

 

2. Manage the planning and scheduling of MRO work orders to facilitate maximum on-time shipments to our customers and with minimum past due.

 

3. Evaluate shop capacities and determine optimum operative staffing levels necessary to support customer demand. Work with engineering to evaluate future needs based on growth models.

 

4. Assist Manufacturing Engineer in development of labor standards for direct labor functions. Collect, validate and maintain standard labor hours by product and operation in the business operating system.

 

5. Coordinate with the Materials Manager to ensure the optimum efficiency of all supply chain resources in meeting our customers, shareholders, and associate’s needs.

 

6. Evaluate causes for past due. Work with Lean and Engineering to reduce causes.

 

7. Monitors status of WIP in effort to assure OTDp goals are met

 

8. Works with IT to develop tools to improve accuracy and efficiency of dat

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

 

  • High school diploma minimum, B.S. degree in Business/Supply Chain preferred, with 5+ years exp. in aviation/aerospace/Mfg.      
  • ERP/MRP system experience, proficiency in EPICOR preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; effective presentation skills
  • Cycle and process time analysis, maintenance of standard days/hours
  • Materials and inventory contro

 

Salary Range: $68K - $87K annual
