Shift: Day Shift

 

Schedule: 7am-5pm, Tues-Fri

 

Pay Range: Starting pay $21.50/hr, Top pay $27.50/hr.

Position Summary:

Timken is seeking a dedicated and skilled Product & Gauge Control Attendant to join our Tool Crib team. In this role you will inspect various mechanical and electronic gauges/gauging equipment and masters. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Calibrates gauging equipment and individual gauges following procedures. 
  • Inspect gauge materials for conformance to specifications. 
  • Troubleshoot gauges and gauging equipments for cause of improper performance. 
  • Calculates sizes, angles, etc., using shop formulas. 
  • Periodically rechecks gauges and masters for deviation from specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to achieve production goals.
  • Follows all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • General knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, and hand tools. 
  • Ability to measure and calculate with use of various measuring tools. 
  • Experience with gauges & masters preferred. 
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, acceptance criteria and engineered drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset. 
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
