Position Summary:
Timken is seeking a dedicated Intern to join our Human Resource team over the summer. In this role you will support the recruiting, onboarding, orientation, and training processes for the Linconlton Bearing Plant. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist HR Coordinator with full life cycle of recrutiing and onboarding.
- Assist Training Coordinator with training process improvements and auditing.
- Manage applicant tracking system to post, source, and interview candidates.
- Develop recruiting process flowcharts that align with company policies and standards.
- Aid in orientation and company events as needed.
- Assist with various related administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with team members and management to achieve department goals.
- Follows all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled or will be in enrolled in an accredited college institute.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous administrative experience.
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to act independently and manage projects from initation to completion.
- Ability to operate with high amount of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS systems).
