Position Summary:

 

Timken is seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Engineering Manager to join our team.  This leader is responsible for leading technical services that support all manufacturing and plant facilities.  This leader must possess a strong foundation in manufacturing engineering & processes, team leadership, and process improvements.  In this role you will be responsible for leading the facility’s manufacturing engineering group, maintenance, machine shop operations, plant security, waste treatment, safety & environmental management, and facility improvement projects.

 

 

 

Essential Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare; submit for approval; and manage an annual operation budget (including capital budget).

 

  • Lead production and manufacturing engineering in arranging for the best floor space utilization, utility requirements, equipment relocation and the installation and relocation of machinery and equipment. 

 

  • Responsible for compliance with waste treatment regulations as well as federal, state and local laws regarding hazardous substances and proper disposal of these materials either directly or through subordinates. 

 

  • Support operations to ensure operational imperatives (safety, quality, and delivery) are met.

 

  • Direct strategic projects, as needed.

 

  • Responsible for fire protection, guard service and plant and facility security.

 

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • BS (business) or BSE with at least 7 years manufacturing leadership experience.

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

 

  • MBA or ME with at least 4 years manufacturing leadership experience.
