POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assembly Operators are responsible for performing a variety of assembly lines and presses that support the manufacturing of industrial chain products for Diamond-Drives. This includes operating machinery, assembling products or components on a production line, inspecting quality, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Operators may progress through three levels if they have met the required skills and qualifications for each role.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow detailed instructions of assignment including but not limited to; work instruction, blueprints, route cards, and verbal/written instructions.
- Interpret and follow multiple chain assembly instructions to ensure accurate and efficient production of various chain models.
- Responsible for assembling chain components and products according to specifications, using both manual and automatic methods.
- Operate production equipment such as presses, grinders, assembly machines, and dip tanks.
- Ensure quality standards are met using gauges, measuring tools, and visual inspection.
- Demonstrate a strong attention to detail in all tasks.
- Maintain adequate housekeeping, ensuring clean and organized work area.
- Must practice all safety procedures and complete necessary trainings related to job duty.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and support staff.
- Perform all other relative duties as required or as directed
CORE RESPONSIBILITES:
- Operate slide die machine to form and assemble chain components according to production specifications.
- Perform repetitive tasks such as loading parts, inserting pins, and operating press machines.
- Follow established procedures to assemble components and conduct quality checks
- Operate and adjust machines such as punch presses, stakers, and grinders.
- Use hoists and lifting equipment to safely assist with the movement and positioning of large chain assemblies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and use of measuring tools
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Required
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Manufacturing experience, refer to qualifications for job level.
- Ability to read, write, and speak effectively for general understanding of required documentation, instructions, and procedures.
- Preferred
- Certifications from College or Technical School
