Position Summary
The Supply Chain Analyst plays a key role in managing supplier relationships and supporting efficient procurement processes within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring the timely acquisition of raw materials and purchased components, maintaining supplier quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The analyst will work closely with the planning team to align sourcing strategies with production needs and business goals.
Essential Job Duties:
Procurement & Supplier Management:
- Source and procure raw materials and components from with short to medium lead times – primarily using domestic supply base, but may also cover import vendors as well.
- Evaluate and onboard new suppliers, including site visits, pricing negotiations, and submission of all applicable documentation.
- Maintain accurate supplier data in the ERP system, including cost, lead time, and special characteristics.
Quality & Compliance:
- Manage supplier quality issues by coordinating corrective actions, validating resolutions, and addressing financial impacts.
- Support the preparation of annual supplier scorecards based on quality, delivery, pricing, communication, and continuous improvement metrics.
Data Analysis & Process Improvement:
- Analyze supply chain data to forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, and support production planning.
- Identify and implement process improvements using Lean tools and best practices.
- Quote new purchased components using knowledge of the current supply base and market capabilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with planning, scheduling, and production teams to ensure material availability aligns with manufacturing schedules.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve issues and maintain supply continuity.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- High school diploma with 5+ years of experience in a related field.
- ERP/ SAP experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerBI and Excel.
- Experience in the Manufacturing Industry
- Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or a related field with 2 years experience in a related field.
- Negotiation Skills.
The yearly compensation for this role is $62,080 - $81,480, is commensurate on experience and education, and could pay more or less than the posted range. This full-time position is eligible to participate in the company’s short-term incentive program, paid time off plan, 401k, and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision.
