Position Summary: The Operations Manager is responsible for managing the overall manufacturing process for the processes at the Fulton facility of Diamond Drives. This role provides leadership and direction to operations leaders and associates across a multi-zoned, multi-shift department to meet customer demand. The Operations Manager drives improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost through deep knowledge of lean and manufacturing processes. These goals are achieved through the leadership of supervisory, production support, and team leader associates, as well as through indirect collaboration with operative associates at the facility.
Essential Job Duties:
Safety and Quality:
- Drive safety initiatives and strategy for the operation, ensuring ongoing operator safety and a safe work environment by promptly addressing safety hazards and minimizing workplace accidents.
- Ensure all assembly activities comply with safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Implement and monitor quality control processes to maintain high standards in metal fabrication and welding processes.
Performance Management:
- Responsible for the development, planning, and execution against KPIs (safety, quality, cost, delivery, productivity, and morale), as well as the production plan and annual cost center budget.
- Develop, implement, and execute advanced equipment and manning capacity models to ensure demand swings are met.
Lean Practices and Continuous Improvement:
- Identify cost-saving opportunities by implementing lean practices, including reducing inventory, optimizing material flow, and lowering manufacturing costs.
- Demonstrate the responsibilities of a lean leader and drive a lean culture in the facility.
- Ensure associates are engaged and participating in continuous improvement efforts.
Talent Management:
- Lead goal-setting, coaching, counseling, mentoring, and career development processes with associates.
- Provide guidance and direction to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Compliance and Values:
- Ensure compliance with and communication of company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
- Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field.
- 12 years of experience in manufacturing management.
- Knowledge of welding practices and metallurgy.
- Lean Manufacturing experience or certification.
- Strong leadership, critical thinking and communication skills (verbal & written)
- Preferred:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business Administration.
- Experience developing equipment and manning capacity models.
The yearly compensation for this role is $112,720 - $147,945, is commensurate on experience and education, and could pay more or less than the posted range. This full-time position is eligible to participate in the company’s short-term incentive program, paid time off plan that includes 10 additional company-paid holidays, 401k and/or Roth 401(k) with company match after one (1) month of employment plus quarterly Core Defined Contributions, and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision.
